This original sketch for the BWS Wolverine: Weapon X
trading card design offers insight into the artist’s
creative process, showing his layout in blue pencil,
and the further refining of the figure in graphite.

Blue pencil and graphite pencil.
7 5/8” x 10 1/2” image on 9 1/2’ x 12 1/2” tracing paper,
affixed with artist’s tape to 11 x 17” copy paper.
Hand signed “BWS” and dated 4/30/05

Note: The border outline visible in the scan is not on the
original sketch. It is showing through from the backing paper,
to indicate the proportions required for the card art.
